Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)

”When Dr. John Henry Wilson, a Louisville, Ky., physician, organized a handful of men into the Loyal Order of Moose in the parlor of his home in the spring of 1888, he and his compatriots did so apparently for no other reason than to form a string of men's social clubs. Lodges were instituted in Cincinnati, St. Louis, and the smaller Indiana towns of Crawfordsville and Frankfort by the early 1890s, but Dr. Wilson himself became dissatisfied and left the infant order well before the turn of the century.

Though the Moose fraternal organization was founded in the late 1800s with the modest goal of offering men an opportunity to gather socially, it was reinvented during the first decade of the 20th century into an organizational dynamo of men and women who set out to build a city that would brighten the futures of thousands of children in need all across North America. “

The Time Is Now: to realize we are not just a Social Club, we are part of what James Davis created to be; organizational dynamo of men and women who set out to build a city that would brighten the futures of thousands of children in need.

The Time Is Now: to save our Lodge, meet our financial obligations and grow. We had a great Town hall meeting lead by Kathy Rea on Tuesday July 13th. A lot of great solutions to existing problems came from that. I was sorry to see that the Lodge Hall doors shut people in the Social Quarters. We could have used more constructive solutions from everyone.

The Time Is Now…to disregard the nay saying and get the job done. Support your lodge and our community service obligations. Introduce your friends to the ideals and principals of our order. Look back at our roots; it is something to be proud of.

Your Board of Officers have really stepped up to the plate and will continue to do so in a United Front. We have opened for lunch during the week thanks to volunteers: Officers Donnie Gibson & Mike Byers, Polly Davis our Secretary and Tracey Allen. This effort will give us an opportunity to get those additional sales we need and stretch out our already existing overhead. Please come out for lunch and give us suggestions for daily lunch specials; this is your social Quarters.

Please remember.
